Neck and Low Back Pain

Comprehensive Spine Care for Neck and Low Back Pain

Neck and low back pain affect over 100 million people in the United States every year, making them some of the most common reasons people miss work, stop playing sports, or give up activities they love. For many patients, treatments like chiropractic care, physical therapy, and medications can help—but not everyone finds lasting relief. When pain continues, it often means there is a specific pain source, or pain generator, that needs to be properly identified and treated. At Interventional Pain Specialists of Wisconsin, we focus on finding the true cause of pain and treating it with precision.

We offer a full range of interventional pain procedures, including diagnostic injections, epidural steroid injections, joint injections, and radiofrequency ablation to reduce pain coming from irritated nerves or arthritic joints. In addition, we provide advanced regenerative medicine options that use a patient’s own cellular products to help decrease inflammation, reduce pain, and support healing in worn or damaged joints and spinal structures. These treatments may include intradiscal cellular therapy for certain disc-related pain conditions. Whether a patient benefits most from traditional treatments or newer regenerative approaches, we work closely with them to find the right solution for their neck or low back pain.

For patients who need more advanced care, we specialize in ultra-minimally invasive spine procedures designed to treat pain with the smallest possible incisions and fastest recovery times. These include kyphoplasty for painful vertebral compression fractures, the Disc-FX® procedure by Elliquence for contained disc herniations using an incision no larger than the size of a pencil, endoscopic spine procedures that allow us to directly see and treat arthritic spinal pain, and the Intracept® procedure for patients with chronic low back pain that has not improved with other treatments. We also offer spinal cord stimulation using advanced systems from Boston Scientific, as well as ultra-minimally invasive spine stabilization procedures such as the MINUTEMAN®, which can be an alternative to major spine fusion surgery.

As a double board-certified physicians in anesthesiology and interventional pain medicine, our Physician’s brings a high level of precision and safety to every procedure. Our goal is always to help patients avoid major surgery whenever possible. When surgery is truly necessary, we work closely with trusted spine surgeons to ensure patients receive the right care at the right time. Above all, our mission is simple: identify the source of pain, treat it accurately, and help patients get back to living their lives.
